Time to vote your favorite scientist !

Dear Friends;

Once in a while we need to inspire our scientists, by voting for their work.

You will be glad to know that for the first time in my life I have been selected for a science work of mine, for a popular science blog award.

I am being considered for a science blog award for which I had nominated myself and I have made it into the list of 50 blogs for the same.

The awarding agency goes by the name 3 Quarks Daily and they will award the top 3 blogs only.

Their selection process involves “Voting from the public” for the pre-semi-final round in which they will select only top 20 blogs from among the 50 nominated.

Immediately it will go for semi-final and final rounds.

From among 100s of science blogs that are available on my website mdashf.org, here, I have very carefully selected a blog that aims at removing age old misconceptions in Physics that goes onto deeper and deeper levels of our psyche, because they are also present in our text books.

I have selected the following blog 3 myths of physics, especially in textbooks, and its written in much lucid language, suitable even for high school level. So if it interests you, go ahead and read it. It appears on 3 Quarks Daily website as entry 17.

In any case I will be greatly privileged if you also decide to vote for my blog.

All you have to do, is

  1. either follow the VOTE link here OR
  2. directly click on “vote for my blog
  3. select my blog (eg by Control+F) “Invariance: 3 myths of physics, especially in textbooks”
  4. click to select, on left, in the blank circle. Then simply scroll down and submit.

Please do it early. The deadline is 18th, day-after-tomorrow, by Midnight, New York time.
