Whats your real salary Vs what you are getting (Indian High Schools only) 

I am not going to speak much here, in general I do not like to talk much, unless its a spontaneous ejaculation, check the 2nd meaning, in the link:  To utter suddenly and passionately; exclaim. Uncontrollably freakish and no strings attached. But here I will just give you some valuable answers, for this topic. Note that Value comes always, with some Vagueness; that goes into the account of the exploitators.

But this information is also going to be a good guiding principle. A tons of it may be present on the web, but when it comes to how it gets implemented on the ground its no Rocket Science. In short, we have an information blackout despite of the fact that; we are a so called information powerhouse. And blackouts always cause loot and haram. So we live in a society that has gradually made us less and less aware; of our rights, and; more and more about the rights of corporate and big-organizations.

Time to review our dues.

I will link to this excellent information on a website thats, in my opinion, working as a Teacher’s Support System as is suggestive; from first looks. So I will also append directly, some part — with the explicit admission that; its not purposed for any commercial usage, by my website, but merely information sharing with a general goal of benefit for Teachers and Society, if onlineteachers.co.in have any objections of licensing; I will promptly remove. )

(Please, if you will) Go Below; and read happily what, the Government at New Delhi thinks the Lawful Salary of Teachers in High School is and; compare with what you are getting. In-fact as you will see the salary was revised in 2008, this is 2013, and not implemented, I can bet, in 70% of the academic organizations in the country, and clearly; the wages (read salary) were to be revised from, Year 2006.

That is, even if Govt. makes a delayed bill, it does not mean, the organizations shall not pay the due, to the teacher or any other employee, because then, it would be a gross violation of LAW, or in other words, the organizations would be criminals in the eyes of law, a lot of talk of idealism?

Its 2013 and for that matter, large number of organizations, which have not followed Government Laws have therefore cheated the government and its own employee; revised amount of salary for 20132006 = 7  years.

This is as much a crime, as one would commit, by, for example, say; not paying TAX on one’s business or salary. eg If Mr X earns 100 Crores a year, he is perhaps liable, approximately 1/3rd of that as a tax, for 7 years; he would be evading about twice his yearly income. So, these organizations are ( — because they are mostly For Profit Organizations) laundering massive amount of Governmental Tax and employee remuneration. Lets be more specific now, by plugging in, the minimum salary of these categories. We can then compare ours with what we are getting in our present organization. Details are provided below.

But, I will also, take help; from a website named referencer.in. This guy will tell us, how much exactly we should be paid, given, we feed it in, with the Governmental Jargon such as pay grade, minimum grade pay and House Rent Allowance etc, we will go with, the minimum of everything, so we know; we are actually being taken for bullying by our employers. Lets remember that, according to Government, certain things are a must, even if minimum is applied, that is, we for example, cannot be given a zero for City Allowance; if thats, according to the Government, must be paid.

But replacing Value (as defined by Government) by Vagueness (as defined by private companies such as, For Profit Academic Organizations)  our employers would be making 50% of our salaries, as their hidden profit, while illegally stopping us from getting our due, they are also not paying any tax on the Visible or Hidden earnings of theirs, this way. Consider this vagueness? “Salary is no bar for deserving candidate”. How about mentioning the exact pay-grade-scale? and other allowances such as medical allowances, this and that?

I believe its the sole responsibility of the Government (and no, not Government Bot) to make sure, it enlists default organizations and law-enforces them; to extract twice what they have defaulted, from their Employees and Government. Of-course, a lot of paperwork that are produced by these organizations, as mandatory disclosure are merely hogwash and; fraudulent numbers are filled in there. In addition, the Governmental Apex Body officers (such as AICTE) are often bribed hugely; to stop any investigation preemptively or not stop accreditation or to provide super ratings to defaulting organizations.

(Please don’t be alarmed by the above paragraph, as AICTE appears for hi-school teacher analysis, but higher education policies determine the elementary level policies, the governing body, the overseeing officer at any level could be  linked to decision making at elementary levels also.)

What really happens and why is Indian Academics not come of age? This above is one of the big answer. So lets go into specificity.

Primary School Teachers who are getting the scale of 4500-125-7000 presently, have been upgraded to, 6500-200-10500 and finally fixed in Pay Band-2 at 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4200.

Bol mere akka referencer.in; Referencer.in says as of 2011 we are supposed to be paid, a minimum of INR 31648.

I (the author) bet we are getting no more, than, 15000 in most cases, thats in 2013.

6th Pay Commission: Pay Fixation for School Teachers

The 6th Central Pay Commission recommendation have been approved by the union government. As per the recommendations, the pay scale of school teachers have been revised and upgraded. Primary School Teachers who are getting the scale of 4500-125-7000 presently have been upgraded to 6500-200-10500 and finally fixed in Pay Band-2 at 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4200. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) who are getting the scale of 5500-175-9000 presently have been upgraded to 7450-11500 and finally fixed in Pay Band-2 at 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4600. Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) who are getting the scale of 6500-200-10500 presently have been upgraded to 7500-12000 and finally fixed in Pay Band-2 at 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4800. Vice-Principals (VP) at initial stage who are getting the scale of 7500-250-12000 presently have been upgraded to 8000- 13500 and finally fixed in Pay Band-3 at 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of 5400. Principals who are getting the scale of 10000-325-15200 presently have been upgraded to 12000-16500 and finally fixed in Pay Band-3 at 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of 6600.

Other Highlights:

  • There will be a uniform date of annual increment, viz. 1st July of every year. Employees completing 6 months and above in the revised pay structure as on 1st of July will be eligible to be granted the increment. The first increment after fixation of pay on 1.1.2006 in the revised pay structure will be granted on 1.7.2006 for those employees for whom the date of next increment was between 1st July, 2006 to 1st Jan 2007.
  • New wages to be effective from January 2006.
